SignSealShip

FOR FAMILIES & CAREGIVERS

The POA your family needs, without the road trip.

A parent in another state. A hospital that needs the healthcare directive on file. Siblings coordinating from three time zones. SignSealShip brings the notary to the laptop, lets every signer sign from where they are, and puts the original in the mail with tracking — while everyone can see it's done.

The notary comes to the laptop

No lobby, no parking, no waiting room. Your parent meets a commissioned notary on a recorded video call — available 24/7, from $49 — using a computer or phone with a camera and their government-issued photo ID.

Everyone signs from where they are

Agents, successor agents, and witnesses can be in different states. E-signers join from a link with no accounts; a witness can be added on demand for $25 when the document calls for one.

Originals to the hospital, bank, or attorney

Add tracked delivery at checkout — first-class, certified, or overnight. The sealed PDF is available immediately, and anyone the family shares it with can verify it at our public portal.

How it works for senior care & families

  1. 01

    Get the document ready

Use the form your attorney prepared, or download a blank statutory POA from our free library. We execute documents — choosing the right one is between your family and, ideally, a licensed attorney.

  2. 02

    Meet the notary together

The signer verifies identity, joins the video session, and signs on camera while the notary walks them through it. Family members who need to sign can join the same order.

  3. 03

    Put it where it's needed

Download the sealed PDF instantly and ship the original to the hospital, the bank, or the agent who'll use it — tracked door to door.

THE FINE PRINT, UP FRONT

Identity verification is a legal step — plan for it

State RON laws require the signer to pass knowledge-based questions drawn from public records and show photo ID on camera. Most people pass in about two minutes, but a failed quiz locks online verification for 24 hours — if that happens we explain the options, and you only pay for a completed notarization. Also honest: signers must have the capacity to sign, notaries can't assess capacity or give advice, and some states restrict which estate documents qualify for online notarization. We check before you pay.

How online notarization works

The documents families ask for most

Blank statutory forms are free to download. We never choose or complete a form for your situation — if you're unsure what your family needs, consult a licensed attorney.

QUESTIONS

Asked before every order

Can my parent do this if they're not comfortable with technology?

Usually, yes — with a little family help. The session runs in a normal web browser on a computer or phone with a camera; there's nothing to install. A family member can sit beside them for setup, and our team supports the connection step. The legal parts — answering the identity questions and signing — must be done by the signer themselves, on camera.

Can family members in different states sign the same document?

Yes. E-signers each get a link and sign from wherever they are; signers who must be notarized join the video session as the document requires. Additional notarized signers are $15 each and extra seals $19 — itemized on the receipt before anyone pays.

Is a power of attorney notarized online actually valid?

Notarizations performed under a state's RON law have the same legal effect as in-person notarizations, and the sealed PDF carries a digital certificate and audit trail anyone can verify. Some banks and facilities maintain their own acceptance practices, so for a critical use we suggest confirming with the receiving institution — many families ship the tracked original for exactly that reason.

What about my parent's will?

Wills are different: most are made valid by witnessed wet-ink signing, and several states exclude wills from online notarization entirely (what usually gets notarized is the optional self-proving affidavit). We flag your state's rules before checkout, and tracked shipping of the paper original always works. For what your parent's estate actually needs, talk to a licensed attorney — we're a technology platform, not a law firm.

How fast can the hospital have the original?

The sealed PDF is available the moment the session ends — many facilities accept that immediately. If they want paper, choose overnight delivery at checkout and the original arrives the next business day with tracking the whole family can watch.

The notary is available 24/7. Get the POA signed while everyone's thinking about it.
