SignSealShip

WHY WE EXIST

Paper still runs the world.
We made it move at internet speed.

Deeds, powers of attorney, affidavits, titles — the documents that matter most still end in a signature, a seal, and an envelope. Getting all three done used to mean office hours, parking lots, and a week of waiting. SignSealShip does the whole job in one sitting: sign online, meet a commissioned notary on video, and put the originals on a tracked truck — with every fee on its own line.

HOW WE OPERATE

The honest-receipt principles

Most of this industry hides its economics inside the notary line. We decided the receipt is the product — so every rule below is checkable on the receipt itself.

01

The notary fee is passed through at cost

A notarization costs what the notary charges — $25, on its own receipt line, never inflated by document type. Our margin lives in clearly labeled workflow fees, not hidden in someone else's work.

02

Every fee is its own line

Postage is the live carrier rate. Handling is disclosed. Add-ons are itemized. You see the whole receipt before you pay, and the receipt you get matches the quote you saw.

03

Honest state answers

If your state or document doesn't work with online notarization, we tell you before checkout — plainly, with what to do instead. We'd rather lose the sale than fail you silently.

04

No forced subscriptions

Pay-per-document is the default, forever. Partner plans exist only where the math genuinely works for offices — and their clients never need an account or membership to sign.

UNDER THE HOOD

How the platform actually works

Everything below is real and running in production today — no vaporware, no borrowed badges.

FIRST-PARTY E-SIGN

Our own engine, live in production

We built the e-signature engine ourselves — no white-labeled vendor behind the curtain. Consent is captured per ESIGN §101(c), signatures comply with ESIGN and UETA, and every completed document ships with a Certificate of Completion.

CRYPTOGRAPHIC SEAL

Sealed with Google Cloud KMS

Finished PDFs are sealed with an asymmetric signature from Google Cloud KMS — a CMS/PKCS#7 signature you can inspect in Adobe Acrobat's signature panel, with ByteRange tamper-evidence. Change one byte and the seal breaks visibly.

AUDIT TRAIL

SHA-256 hash-linked, end to end

Every event in an order — upload, consent, signature, seal — is chained into a SHA-256 hash-linked audit trail. It's the paper trail a court asks for, kept in a form that can't be quietly rewritten.

COMMISSIONED NOTARIES

Real notaries, 44 jurisdictions

Online notarizations are performed by independent, state-commissioned notaries through our partner network — live on video, under the laws of their commissioning states. We coordinate; they notarize.

TRACKED DELIVERY

Originals moved like they matter

Live carrier rates, prepaid labels, automated print-and-mail, and tracking to the recorder's desk. Sealed documents are retained for seven years in an encrypted bucket, retrievable through short-lived signed links.

INFRASTRUCTURE

Built on Google Cloud

Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, and Cloud KMS. Encrypted in transit with TLS and at rest. SOC 2 Type II is on our roadmap — we won't claim a badge we haven't earned.

PLAIN TERMS

What we are — and what we are not

WE ARE

  • · A technology platform for electronic signatures, online notarization coordination, and tracked document delivery.
  • · The system of record for your order — quote, consent, signatures, seal, audit trail, and tracking in one place.
  • · The party accountable for the receipt: if a line item is wrong, that's on us, and we fix it.

WE ARE NOT

  • · A law firm. We don't give legal advice, choose documents for you, or review them for legal sufficiency.
  • · A notary public. Notarial acts are performed by independent, state-commissioned notaries under their own states' laws.
  • · A fine-print operation. If something doesn't work in your state, we say so before you pay — not after.

SignSealShip is a technology platform, not a law firm, and does not provide legal advice. Notarizations are performed by independent commissioned notaries or approved RON provider partners. RON availability varies by state and document type.
