Do my signers ever pay anything?
No. Nothing. Ever. The person who creates the order covers everything in one checkout — co-signers, witnesses, and recipients sign from their own secure links without an account, an app, or a fee.
Do I need a membership or subscription?
No. Pay-per-document is the default for everyone, forever. Partner plans exist only as optional discount memberships for offices that send documents every week — and even then, your clients never need an account or subscription to sign.
Are there hidden fees at checkout?
No — the opposite. Every quote is itemized before you pay: the notary fee at its actual cost, the e-sign and workflow fees, and shipping as one flat disclosed fee, each on its own line. The notary fee and any government fees are never marked up or discounted, and the total you approve is exactly what Stripe charges.
Why do some documents cost more than others?
The notary fee itself never changes by document type — it's always passed through at cost. Higher-priced documents reflect more workflow: additional seals or signers, witness coordination, multi-document packages, rush handling, or shipping coordination with title companies and recorders.
What if my state doesn't allow online notarization?
We check your state and document type before you pay. In most non-RON states we can connect you with a notary commissioned in another state whose notarization is legally recognized; where that isn't possible (like South Carolina), we say so plainly and suggest alternatives instead of selling you something that won't work.
