Is a remote online notarization valid for court filings?
Remote online notarization is authorized in 43 states plus Washington, D.C., and a properly performed RON carries the same legal effect as an in-person notarization in those states. Acceptance practices can vary by court and clerk, so for a jurisdiction-critical filing, confirm with the receiving court — and when in-person is the honest answer, we say so before your client pays.
What does my client actually experience?
One link. They review the document, consent to electronic records, verify identity (government ID plus knowledge-based checks through our approved RON provider partners), and meet the notary on recorded video. No account creation, no software, no separate payment unless you route the charge to them deliberately.
What does it cost the firm?

How do I know the executed document hasn't been altered?
Every executed document is sealed with a hardware-backed cryptographic certificate visible in Adobe Acrobat's signature panel, and anyone can drop the PDF at signsealship.com/verify to confirm its integrity and history — no account, no call to us. That verification link is the same one you can hand opposing counsel.
